Bristol Music Centre – South
Bristol Music Centre, South is home to two of the city’s most exciting new ensembles, the Bristol Modern Orchestra and South Side Choir, also a cutting-edge new Creative Music Technology programme.
The Bristol Modern Orchestra welcomes early stage, intermediate and advanced young musicians between the ages of 10-16 on any instrument. Whether you play trumpet or guitar, violin or drums, we explore adventurous arrangements of popular music. Sessions are split between sectional coaching and performance rehearsals.
Do you love singing? The South Side Choir is open to young people in years 6-8 and meets on Saturday mornings between 10am and 11.30am. Led by highly inspirational singing coaches, the group will develop young people’s vocal and musical skills through exploring adventurous arrangements of pop, rock, world and gospel music. Emphasis will be made on progression of part singing, vocal blend and tone and the choir will act as the ‘Voice’ to accompany other emerging instrumental groups at the Bristol Music Centre, South.
